Venice is the last community on the Mississippi reachable by car, at the end of LA 23 and the Great River Road. It is a base for offshore oil and gas and for anglers heading out to Port Eads and the Gulf.
The stations here follow the river's passes, South Pass, Southwest Pass and Pass a Loutre, out to the Gulf.
